Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Project Architect to join our dynamic team. The Project Architect will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of architectural projects from conception to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, codes, and construction methods, as well as exceptional project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring adherence to client requirements, budget, and timelines.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and develop design concepts.
- Create and present design proposals, incorporating sustainable and inclusive design principles, to clients and project teams.
- Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee construction administration, conducting site visits and coordinating with contractors to ensure project execution aligns with design intent.
- Mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Licensed or pursuing licensure as an architect.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in architectural design.
Day-to-day
- Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Developing design concepts and iterating based on feedback from clients and project teams.
- Leading project meetings and coordinating with internal and external team members to ensure project milestones are met.
- Reviewing and guiding the work of junior staff to support their professional development.
- Visiting project sites to monitor construction progress and address any design-related issues.
