This award winning developer is building some of the most exciting developments in the South and Southwest. They seek the appointment of a Senior Site Manager to work on a prestigious development in South Central Bristol working alongside a Project Director.

The role will see you take overall control of a major section of the project c£7-8M either internal build or external new build apartments and be responsible for the overall management of this on a day-to-day basis. You will be supported by a hands-on Project Director and a Finishing Manager working in a Team of 3 Senior Site Managers.

The project will run until Jan 2025 with future work in the pipeline. With a competitive salary, 10% bonus and extensive benefits package you will work in a very open team who are working ahead of time and budget and delivering exceptional apartments.

Ideally, you will have experience in apartments. hotels, student accommodation or care developments with high attention to detail and work taking place in a sequenced manner.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in delivery - a positive approach to their work and a desire to progress into Project Management.

Position Overview: Seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Director to lead a dynamic team in the successful execution of large multi-storey apartment schemes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex construction projects, a deep understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire construction project lifecycle, from planning and design to execution and handover.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Led and mentored a diverse team of professionals, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and support staff.
  • Implement effective project management strategies to ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and design teams to ensure the project meets quality and design standards.
  • Regularly report project progress, budget updates, and potential risks to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in managing large-scale construction projects, particularly multi-storey residential or commercial developments.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience with budget management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations and permitting processes.
