The primary role would be the procurement of materials for residential developments across the Southwest.

 

The developments are very high quality and often bespoke to the area they are built within.

 

Previous experience within the housing sector and experience using the COINS software system would be desirable.

 

The successful candidate should also have good skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

 

The role would entail the following:

 

  • Taking off and scheduling materials from drawings and specifications.
  • Sending supplier tender enquiries and analysing them on receipt.
  • Negotiating prices with suppliers.
  • Creating purchase orders using the COINS system.
  • Manage and update the materials price database.
  • Assisting sites with day-to-day plant and materials requirements.
  • Dealing with site or supplier delivery/invoice queries.
  • Check and authorise supplier invoices.
  • Develop supplier relationships.

Adoptions and Utilities Manager

The candidate for this role must have relevant experience in a similar position with a recognised housing developer.

They should have a detailed understanding of Highway and Water industry standards.

Planning

  • Produce technical reports for land appraisals.
  • Investigate existing services infrastructure and contact utility providers regarding capacities and connections. Liaise with Civil Engineer regarding diversions and easement requirements.

Post-Planning & Site Start

  • Submit TTRO applications as required
  • Agree and manage bond and supervision payments.

 

Construction

  • Respond to site queries regarding services and connections, disconnections etc
  • Monitor site programmes and pursue adoption completion procedures to facilitate road and sewer adoption.
  • Support the management of services providers throughout the construction process to ensure all information has been coordinated and fees paid as required to meet the construction programme.

Site Completion

  • Arrange as-built & cctv surveys, Annex 4 etc. as required to complete the adoption process.
  • Arrange inspections with relevant authorities.
  • Manage bond and remedial schedule. Liaise with commercial regarding contractor availability and instruction of remedials. Issue monthly report on status of all outstanding remedials.
  • Liaise with surety provider to advise on adoption status.
  • Advise energy provider when S38 adoptions are agreed to facilitate handover of streetlight costs.
